The National Uncapper uses nitrile rubber drive bands to turn the rollers and apply the correct working pressure. Like all rubber components, the bands will gradually wear and lose elasticity over time. Sensible care will extend their working life.
 
Care instructions
Protect from sunlight and heat
Prolonged exposure to sunlight can cause the bands to harden and become brittle. Keep out of direct sunlight and store in a cool, dry place.
 
Clean gently
Wash the drive bands by hand using clean water or mild soapy water, then allow them to dry naturally. Avoid solvents, oils, lubricants and aggressive cleaning products, as these may damage the nitrile rubber.
 
Remove after use
Remove the drive bands after each extraction session and store them unstretched. Leaving the bands under continuous tension can reduce their elasticity and working life. For best performance, we recommend replacing the working set annually.

Each replacement pack contains 12 nitrile drive bands — two complete sets of six.
Every new National Uncapper is supplied with 12 bands. Order this replacement pack when your original bands have become worn, damaged or have lost their elasticity.
